TARGET AUDIENCE
This activity is intended for primary care physicians, psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, clinical psychologists, mental health counselors, clinical social workers, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and registered nurses.
STATEMENT OF NEED
This activity has been planned in accordance with the need to provide education to address specific unmet needs and clinical gaps in the area of bipolar disorder by improving the performance of clinicians who are currently responsible for diagnosing, treating, and effectively communicating with patients with bipolar disorder.
ACCREDITATION STATEMENT
The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians
The University of Nebraska Medical Center, Center for Continuing Education designates this enduring material for a maximum of 0.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Nurses
Nurses who are certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) may utilize activities that are certified by ACCME-accredited providers toward their requirement for certification renewal by the ANCC. American Academy of Family Physicians
This Enduring Material activity, The NOW Coalition for Bipolar Disorder Video Library: How to Tell Your Patient You Believe the Diagnosis is Bipolar Disorder has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 0.5 Prescribed credits by the American Academy of Family Physicians. AAFP accreditation begins April 30, 2011. The term of approval is for two years from this date, with option for yearly renewal. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
